For two inspiring days, ACIBIYATECH Initiative welcomed a group of determined young people for the first edition of the “Heal to Code” Cohort—the inaugural activity of our 2026 Roadmap. What began as a vision to create opportunities through technology became a meaningful experience of learning, resilience, and hope.

The cohort brought together young women and men from underserved communities, including participants affected by displacement and humanitarian challenges. More than a training program, Heal to Code created a safe and encouraging environment where participants could discover the possibilities of digital technology, build confidence, and begin imagining a future shaped by knowledge and innovation.

A Community-Driven Beginning

At ACIBIYATECH, we believe that access to digital education should not depend on where someone is born or the circumstances they face. As a community-driven digital education initiative, our mission is to make practical technology and digital skills accessible to underserved youth, with a strong focus on empowering women and girls.

This first cohort was entirely self-funded, demonstrating our commitment to creating opportunities even in the absence of external financial support. It also reflects our belief that meaningful change begins with action, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future.

Two Days of Learning, Inspiration, and Growth

Throughout the two-day program(Held on 6–7 July 2026) , participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to introduce them to the digital world while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

The cohort emphasized practical learning, open discussions, teamwork, and personal development. Participants were encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and see technology not only as a career pathway but also as a tool for solving community challenges and improving lives.

Beyond technical knowledge, the program fostered confidence, curiosity, and a renewed sense of possibility among participants.

Smiles That Tell the Story

One of the greatest achievements of this cohort was the enthusiasm shown by the participants. Their active participation, curiosity, and positive feedback reminded us why initiatives like Heal to Code matter.

Many participants expressed their appreciation for having access to practical digital learning opportunities and shared their excitement about continuing their learning journey with ACIBIYATECH. Their smiles at the closing ceremony reflected more than satisfaction—they reflected hope, confidence, and a belief that their future can be different.

Looking Ahead

The successful completion of this first cohort is only the beginning.

ACIBIYATECH remains committed to expanding access to practical digital education, strengthening digital inclusion, and creating opportunities for underserved communities across the Democratic Republic of the Congo and beyond.

In the months ahead, we look forward to organizing additional cohorts, introducing new learning pathways, expanding mentorship opportunities, and building strategic collaborations that will enable us to reach even more young people.
